The Storehouse Community Center

A nonprofit organization

As Neighbors in ONE Community.

Since 2009, The Storehouse Community Center has fed, clothed, and cared for neighbors from across North Texas. We are a trusted resource for an average of 1,200 local families each week who live at-or-below the federal poverty minimum.

And, while our programs start with the basic needs of food and clothing, we also connect neighbors with the resources and skills they need to achieve lasting transformation and stability though high-quality, stable employment.

Our programs include:

  • A food pantry that provides nutritious food including canned goods, meat, fresh produce, dairy, and more
  • A clothing closet that allows neighbors to shop for their families at no cost and is the largest of its kind in North Texas
  • A resource connection program that helps neighbors access vital services from other local nonprofits
  • A skills academy that offers language, job, and life skills training, including a job partnership program that connects neighbors with stable, high-quality employment.

Our vision is that 2 out of every 10 neighbors we meet for food will never have to stand in that line again thanks to our programs and your generous support.

The collective support of all of our donors is what enables us to do this work. This fiscal year (ending June 30), we must raise $2.9 million to fund this work, and your gift makes a difference! Together, we are more than the sum of our parts, and with the generosity of all of our donors, we can achieve even greater impact.

Don't just take our word for it!

  • We are proud to be a Dallas Morning News Charities Partner since 2023
  • We have a Platinum Transparency Rating on GuideStar
  • We are a Four-Star Charity on Charity Navigator
  • We were the recipient of the North Texas Food Bank's Hope for Tomorrow Award in 2023 and are proud to be one of their largest-traditional food pantry partners.
