Back to School: Snack Size Fun

“A Successful Start” is our annual summer campaign to help families enter the school year prepared, confident, and connected. What began as a single Back-to-School Fair in 2020 has grown into a series of free workshops, resources, and events focused on education, mental health and wellness, parent support, and social-emotional growth.

The campaign culminates in our Back-to-School Fair—a large-scale, community-powered event where families receive school supplies and connect with trusted partners offering essential tools and support for the year ahead. Together, these efforts create a strong, coordinated start for both children and their caregivers.

Located in the heart of Northwest Dallas, Bachman Lake Together serves predominantly Hispanic/Latino families in the 75220 zip code—home to more than 40,000 residents, including approximately 10,000 children in 6th grade or younger.

Rooted in our mission, “A Successful Start” will engage 350+ adults and 500+ children, connecting families with 30+ community partners and equipping them with the resources they need to thrive from day one.

Every dollar helps fill backpacks with school supplies, provide food and beverages, create meaningful activities for children, and connect families to essential community support.
