Mariela's NTX Gives to the Arts Fundraiser

I work at Texas Folklife because I believe culture is worth protecting. And right now, we need your help to protect it for the next generation.

Our Handed Down Youth Folk and Traditional Arts Program brings living traditions into the hands and hearts of 120 students in West Dallas every summer. These young people learn traditional crafts, music, and storytelling that connect them to something real and lasting. Things that no algorithm can replicate and no trend can replace.

We are raising $6,000 through North Texas Gives to the Arts, and every single dollar goes directly to students. Communities Foundation of Texas covers all fees, so your gift works as hard as the kids in our classrooms.

I am asking you personally to give what you can and share this with your networks, especially those in the DFW area. These students deserve to know where they come from and what they are capable of carrying forward.
