Providing Hope and Healing

Texas Community Counseling is a Christian non-profit agency serving the rural counties of Baylor, Clay, Jack, Montague, Wichita, and Young. TCC is committed to bringing hope, healing, and mental health care within reach for rural communities. TCC has the goal to empower individuals to heal, families to flourish, and to help create lasting generational change. TCC has several programs focused on healing mental health and reducing the stigma related to mental health. These programs include counseling for victims of crime and first responders. First responders are not limited to law enforcement and EMS, but to those who are first to the scene of a traumatic situation: CPS investigators and case workers, emergency room personnel, court staff and jurors, tow truck drivers, teachers and school counselors. TCC also provides counseling for adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth parents who surrendered their child for adoption. TCC has counselors who are trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). 

TCC provides support groups for adoptive kinship networks, domestic violence, and grief. The goal is continuing walking along side clients who are seeking to heal from psychological and emotional hurts. The goal for North Texas Giving Day is to raise funds to continue to provide no cost and low-cost sliding scale counseling services for those who do not meet the criteria of grant funding and those who do not have insurance coverage for mental health services. TCC also has victim advocates who skillfully assist victims and their non-offending family members with services, such as applying for victim compensation, safety planning, resource location, court accompaniment, and assistance with victim impact statement preparation. TCC is a Christian non-profit that respects the spiritual beliefs of clients and supports clients in their healing journey.
