We're raising money for the Hanan Ali Lacy "Carry the Torch" Scholarship, a multi-year scholarship created and awarded by Education is Freedom employees to a graduating senior at one of the Dallas County public high schools we serve. In April 2026, we awarded the first-ever Lacy Carry the Torch Scholarship to Carlos, now enrolled at Tufts University. Every dollar raised during this campaign keeps the scholarship alive and funds a new Class of 2027 recipient next spring.

Education is Freedom is a Dallas County nonprofit that has spent over 20 years helping students get from high school to college and career. Employees named this scholarship after Hanan Ali Lacy, an EIF Advisor who passed away in 2021 and left a legacy of going above and beyond for students. The scholarship goes to a student who does the same: someone who lifts others up because they want to, not because they have to, and helps build a community where everyone succeeds.

Our team's goal is $2,000, part of a $10,000 employee giving goal overall. Every dollar goes straight to the scholarship, for Carlos and for the next student who carries the torch. Thank you for helping keep it going.
