LGBTQ+ history is American history. And it deserves to be collected, preserved, shared, and seen.

I’m raising funds for Badge Of Pride, a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing LGBTQ+ history into public view through artifacts, exhibitions, community archiving, oral histories, performance, and public programs.

Badge Of Pride believes history can do something. It can challenge what we think we know, connect generations, give context to the struggles we face today, and remind LGBTQ+ people that their lives have always been part of the American story.

In just a few years, Badge Of Pride has built a growing collection of LGBTQ+ historical materials, created award-winning exhibitions and programs, welcomed thousands of visitors, and launched new initiatives to document stories and preserve community history that might otherwise disappear.
