20 Years of God’s Grace & Faithfulness

Growing in Literacy. Growing in Faith. Growing in Hope.

For twenty years, God has been faithful to Refugee Resources.

What began with a small group of refugee families in Dallas has grown into a gospel-centered ministry serving refugee students and families from around the world. Through Reading Circle and Preschool Circle, we come alongside children as they grow in literacy, develop confidence, build meaningful relationships with mentors, and discover the hope of the Gospel.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive—and that literacy, loving mentorship, and the truth of God’s Word can change the trajectory of a life.

What Your Giving Makes Possible

Your generosity directly supports our two core programs:

  • Preschool Circle helps our youngest learners develop essential pre-literacy and school-readiness skills through songs, stories, hands-on learning, relationships, and gospel-centered teaching.
  • Reading Circle pairs students one-on-one with trained mentors who encourage their academic growth, build confidence, and faithfully point them to the love of Jesus.

The impact reaches far beyond a reading lesson. A child who once struggled to read begins to experience confidence. A student who feels behind discovers that they can learn. A mentor becomes a trusted friend. A family experiences welcome. And a child learns that they are seen, loved, and valued.

Alongside literacy, students are learning about the God who created them and the hope we have through Jesus Christ.

20 Years of Faithfulness—and a Story Still Being Written

As we celebrate 20 years of Refugee Resources in Dallas, we are reminded that this ministry is ultimately a testimony to God’s grace, provision, and faithfulness. He has provided faithful volunteers, generous partners, and countless opportunities to love our neighbors and serve the families He has brought to our community.

We have also seen God’s Word take root in the hearts of our students. In 2024, our students memorized 734 verses and passages. In 2025, more than 1,000. In 2026, they memorized 991. As students have grown, so has the challenge—from individual verses to entire chapters of Scripture.

But the numbers tell only part of the story.

We are seeing God write His Word on the hearts of young people.

Children are still waiting for mentors. Students are still working to overcome reading challenges. Families are still navigating life in a new country. Young people are still waiting to hear the hope of the Gospel.

Your Investment Matters

On average, it costs just $1,212.99 per student annually to provide this high-impact support—far below the average cost of equivalent tutoring in Dallas.

When you give to Refugee Resources, you are not simply giving to a program. You are investing in people.

You are investing in a child learning to read, a mentor who says yes, a family finding welcome, a student hiding God’s Word in their heart, and the next generation of servant leaders who can carry the hope of Christ into their families and communities.

“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness.”
Psalm 115:1
