One in four pregnancies end in loss.  One. In. Four.

Holy Sews DFW serves families who fall into that statistic - specifically those who experience the heartbreaking loss of their baby during the second trimester. In those devastating moments, when parents are grieving and hospitals are searching for ways to offer comfort, we step in.

We provide hospitals with handmade layette sets created especially for these tiny babies, who are often just 7–10 inches long and weigh only a few ounces - far too small for even preemie clothing. Each layette is sewn with tenderness, respect, and deep understanding by volunteers who give countless hours to this ministry. Many even purchase their own fabric and supplies to ensure that every family has something beautiful and dignified to clothe their precious child.

Your support helps us continue this work of compassion — meeting families in their grief and reminding them that their baby’s life matters. These layettes are the only clothing these babies will ever wear — an act of love in a moment no parent ever expects to face. With your gift, we can place more layettes in more hospitals, ensuring no family faces this loss without something made just for their child.

Each layette includes a tiny blanket, wrap, tunic, hat/bonnet, teddy bear, and keepsake card for the baby's footprints and other information.

The DFW Chapter of Holy Sews is based in Carrollton, TX and serves all hospitals in the North Texas and greater Texas region.
