Proceeds for North Texas Giving Day will be used to developing our Activity/Coloring Book project which we will put on line as well as printed copies for distribution to kids of all ages (hospitals, schools, other venues and events we visit). The activity book addresses such topics and Suicide Awareness, Bicycle and Rode Safety and other core values of the Hoffen Foundation, such as Sports, Education, and having special needs kids just enjoy funs times like other kids.
An example of the up coming publishing is to the right and gives an example. We will have two new representatives for Hoffen and would like to introduce "Ray" and "Hope", our stars of the activity book who will address situations and encourage communication, ideas, and lessons in a fun way.
With your help, we will provide opportunities for children to learn about subjects important to their growth and success. The book will be one more Ray of Hope where Hoffen can make a difference in a young persons life. We have talked with hospital nurses to get an idea as to how to address topics and will be introducing the activity book soon. Please welcome the two new children: "Ray" and "Hope" to represent our Foundation and our goals to Give Children a Ray of Hope..
The mission of the Hoffen Foundation is ever expanding as new areas of need come to light. The main focus is to assist children with differing diseases, disabilities and socioeconomic challenges. Hoffen partners with children's medical facilities and existing organizations by raising money to enhance existing programs, new programs and provides ongoing assistance. That assistance may be in the form of toys during the holidays, clothes and educational supplies for the school year, medical equipment not otherwise funded by children's medical facilities, funding to support outings to stimulate children's imaginations and opportunities to engage in activities they may otherwise not experience.
