At Arts Fifth Avenue, our mission is to provide a vibrant forum for artistic expression in the heart of our neighborhood. We celebrate and preserve the uniquely American art forms of Tap Dance and Jazz Music while also offering opportunities in theater, visual arts, and dance. Through performances, classes, and community events, we educate and inspire audiences of all ages—especially young people—while building a hub where creativity and community thrive.

NORTH TEXAS GIVES TO THE ARTS APRIL 16 - 30, 2026
During this two‑week event, Communities Foundation of Texas will partner with local media outlets, promote awareness across our social media channels, and engage our broad giver network to encourage support for Arts & Humanities organizations like yours.

Matching Funds Available
The first $100,000 in online donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by The Giana Foundation Fund, the Robert B. and Virginia Payne Fund for Arts & Culture, and Communities Foundation of Texas. Available for online gifts only, the first $100 per donor per organization will be matched. This helps ensure these generous matching dollars are available to as many participating organizations as possible.

Thanks to the generosity of their donors and sponsors, Communities Foundation of Texas will continue to cover all transaction and technology fees. This means that every dollar donated through the North Texas Giving Day platform goes directly to Arts Fifth Avenue.

Mission

ARTS on TAP, Inc., dba, Arts Fifth Avenue (A5A) is an alternative multi-discipline arts organization and was incorporated and received its 501(C)3 designation in 1992. Our Mission is to provide a forum of expression for dancers, choreographers, musicians, composers, and visual and performing artists; and to stimulate, develop and preserve interest in tap dance and jazz music and to educate the public, particularly youth, about these uniquely American art forms.

ARTS FIFTH AVENUE (A5A) maintains a full 12-month calendar of events. In 2024 we hosted over 65 events including small theatrical productions, dance performances, concerts & recitals, and more. This includes A5A's annual celebrations of National Tap Dance Day, our 3-night Django Reinhardt Festival (the only annual festival in the Southwest), A Jazzy Christmas, A Jazzy Valentine, annual Murder Mystery dinner theater fundraisers, free tap classes, annual tribute to Dallas musician James Clay, monthly Spoken Word events, performances by local musicians, staged readings and productions by local independent theatre groups (both non & for profit), master classes with national artists, artist exhibits, burlesque revues, and showcases for the works of the students in our home school programs.

This is all in addition to our regular schedule of weekly classes (30) offered September through May and our summer programming Our programming remains consistent but also flexible so we can provide affordable space for local, regional, state and national visual & performing artists, dancers/choreographers, musicians and composers to perform.
