WFAA Back to School Supplies Drive

Every child deserves to walk into the classroom on the first day of school feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn. But for thousands of North Texas families, the rising cost of school supplies has become an overwhelming burden.

This year, families are expected to spend an average of more than $900 getting their children ready for school, with the cost of basic school supplies continuing to climb alongside other household expenses. For many parents, purchasing notebooks, backpacks, pencils, calculators, and other classroom essentials means making difficult financial choices.

Your donation to the WFAA Back to School Supplies Drive will help ensure students start the school year with the tools they need to succeed. Every dollar raised will be granted to trusted North Texas education-focused nonprofit organizations that purchase and distribute school supplies directly to children and classrooms with the greatest need.
