Needs
Financially, we're currently looking for partners in our ongoing work through our Southeast Irving Community Centers. Your monthly gifts of $100 or $200 for 24 months will allow us to pay the bills at that facility and help us to do the work that will change lives in our city.
Our work crosses into several areas of need in our community, and our needs do as well. We offer resources and services for everything from our food pantry; Mary’s Closet, our clothing and household items resource center; and our Community Garden, that has provided close to 5,000 indvidual vegatable items, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, various varieties of peppers and herbs, since early April. While we always appreciate the donation of items, we also have financial needs. Every dollar donated goes directly to providing these resources and others to southeast Irving.
Working with other organizations and business is a part of our DNA at The Table. In just the past year we have collaborated directly with well over 20 organizations and businesses to do the work that we do. We offer support groups and income based counseling service thru Watershed Initative; facilitate a monthly low-cost Legal Aid Center thru Administer Justice, and in the past two years thru our Housing Program have housed over 100 individuals, families and senior citizens in partnership with Meadowbrook Heights Apartments, Irving Bible Church, and others. We also welcome groups in to do volunteer work. If your organization, business or group would like to donate time or services thru our community center, just let us know.
