At The Table-Irving, our unwavering belief in the power of compassion drives our daily mission to reach out to those often forgotten by society. Our diverse community is built on forming genuine connections with individuals facing various struggles. From the homeless to low-income families, senior citizens, trauma survivors, and individuals battling mental health issues, we extend our hands and hearts to anyone feeling marginalized. We recognize that everyone, regardless of their background, deserves hope and purpose. Venturing into the unseen corners of neighborhoods, our team serves as a beacon of light for those dwelling in the shadows. The Table's unconventional approach acknowledges that life is more than mere survival—it's about creating meaningful impacts on each other's lives. We invite you to join us in building a world where empathy and support are not just ideals but the transformative forces that uplift and empower lives.

Giving Activity

Mission

“The Table- Irving is simply a group of friends walking together to establish authentic community in south Irving, building relationships and providing resources that help individuals and families develop a better way of life".

Needs

Financially, we're currently looking for partners in our ongoing work through our Southeast Irving Community Centers. Your monthly gifts of $100 or $200 for 24 months will allow us to pay the bills at that facility and help us to do the work that will change lives in our city.

Our work crosses into several areas of need in our community, and our needs do as well. We offer resources and services for everything from our food pantry; Mary’s Closet, our clothing and household items resource center; and our Community Garden, that has provided close to 5,000 indvidual vegatable items, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, various varieties of peppers and herbs, since early April. While we always appreciate the donation of items, we also have financial needs. Every dollar donated goes directly to providing these resources and others to southeast Irving.

Working with other organizations and business is a part of our DNA at The Table. In just the past year we have collaborated directly with well over 20 organizations and businesses to do the work that we do. We offer support groups and income based counseling service thru Watershed Initative; facilitate a monthly low-cost Legal Aid Center thru Administer Justice, and in the past two years thru our Housing Program have housed over 100 individuals, families and senior citizens in partnership with Meadowbrook Heights Apartments, Irving Bible Church, and others. We also welcome groups in to do volunteer work. If your organization, business or group would like to donate time or services thru our community center, just let us know.

Equity Statement

The Table- Irving desires to treat everyone fairly and make everyone feel welcome, no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, or abilities. Our goal is to create environments where everyone feels valued and included, regardless of their background or identity. We're committed to being open minded and supportive to people who may have been marginalized and oppressed in the past, not just in our city or country, but around the world.
