$10,000 Goal

Pecan Valley Centers for Behavioral and Developmental Healthcare improves lives through compassionate, comprehensive behavioral health and disability services. We provide mental health treatment for adults and youth, crisis intervention, substance use recovery services, respite care, and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Recognizing that health and well-being are influenced by more than clinical care alone, we also help individuals and families address social needs that impact stability and quality of life, including housing challenges, financial hardships, and food insecurity.

We are also proud to serve those who have served our country through specialized veteran support services that address both mental health needs and barriers to overall well-being.

Donor support makes it possible for us to expand access to critical services, respond to urgent community needs, and create lasting positive impact for thousands of individuals and families across Parker, Palo Pinto, Johnson, Hood, Erath, and Somervell Counties.

Mission

Our mission is to help individuals and families overcome challenges associated with mental illness, substance use, and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) within our community, regardless of health insurance status or ability to pay.

Needs

Pecan Valley Centers is strengthening rural mental health care access by building a new 10,000 square-foot mental health outpatient facility in Granbury. With your help, this clinic will expand capacity to provide comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health services, including substance use support, to rural individuals and families.

Approximately 70% of our clients do not have a dedicated funding source to pay for services. Across our six-county region, your support can help us:

Address more social needs among clients that impact overall health, such as housing, transportation challenges, and food insecurity.

Expand our crisis services program by hiring more case managers across our six-county region. These case managers stabilize and support those in crisis anywhere in the community when they call our mental health hotline.

Grow our support groups and resources for families navigating mental health and IDD challenges.

Provide financial, mental health, and substance use support for a rural veteran in need.

Expand community outreach and education to raise awareness of potentially life-saving services.

Continue to provide engaging activities and social outings for clients staying at our respite homes and for those with IDD living in our group homes.

Equity Statement

Pecan Valley Centers will not deny services for any reason – including: a person’s inability to pay, race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion and age.
