As a young girl, Kathy Wampler sat on the front porch recording herself preaching. Her messages were heard by a stray dog passing through the yard, or a bird chirping in the nearby tree, but little did she know that one day she would travel the world preaching the Word of God. As Kathy became a young adult, she was fortunate to become an associate minister with an organization which allowed her to minister throughout the United States.
As she continued to develop her gift and calling, doors began to open and she began conducting Abide Retreats for military and first responder wives and women. She was challenged to begin providing online Bible studies and has continued to provide those for over five years. Kathy has been asked to participate in mentoring programs, including young women who desire to be in ministry as well.
Her passion is sharing Biblical principles with practical and accurate application. Many people take scripture out of context and apply it to their lives and situations, but when we know the Scripture and we understand the meaning, we can accurately apply it, live it, and be set free. She loves seeing people walk in the freedom Jesus gives them.
Over her 34 years of ministry, she has found that many rural communities don't have the ability to bring targeted ministries to assist them in reaching their communities. As people choose to support her work, she is able to go where she is invited without allowing funding to be a barrier. Abide Retreats are offered free-of-charge to the military and first responder wives and women who attend. Those who support Kathy Wampler, INC make it possible to keep these retreats free and partner with us in reaching this incredible group of ladies.
Kathy has been married to her husband, David since 1993. They reside in Fort Worth, TX.
