OUR HOME
In the fall of 2012, Daniel Rodrigue and Justin Goode met for the first time over a beer at a local bar in Dallas. Their paths first crossed due to their outspoken passion for instant film. Following that fateful meeting the pair began vectoring towards what is now the Instant Film Society, a group of photographers who enjoy sharing with others what they prefer to do most of the time ... shoot instant film. The Instant Film Society's first #PolaWalk was scheduled at the State Fair of Texas in 2012, and soon after was the first "PolaCon", the world's first 3-day instant film conference, which now attracts hundreds of likeminded photographers from all over the world. The rest is "instant history."
Instant Film Society was founded in 2012 to increase awareness, accessibility, and understanding of instant film photography. We do this through community meet-ups, workshops, photo walks, and events including PolaCon, the world's first 3-day instant film convention.
