Housing Assistance for Victims of Economic Neglect is a non-profit organization focusing on Affordable Housing Policies in America. This cross-examination of policy centers around five major pillars of concern. They are as follows:
HAVEN's mission is to assist prospective homebuyers in achieving the American dream by increasing home ownership rates in underserved communities. This largely would be achieved by reforming public policy so innovative strategies could be implemented for the purpose of eliminating roadbloks to affordability, i.e. down payment assistance. In addition we have implemented the "MOVE" Program which provides up to $5K for moving expenses depending on the purchase price of the property.
HAVEN is requesting donations for the purpose of making grants to first-time homebuyers for down payment assistance. In most cases, donations will be matched with funds from private real estate firms.
