The HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health is dedicated to ensuring that cost is never a barrier to receiving compassionate, high-quality healthcare. With locations in Fort Worth and Arlington, we provide free PrEP and PEP services, HIV and STI testing and treatment, HIV primary care and medication, counseling, gender-affirming care, insurance assistance, and other essential health services.

The HELP Center operates one of the largest PrEP programs in North Texas, serving thousands of clients regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. There is never a cost to see a provider, complete necessary lab work, or receive medication through our programs.

Our 15,000-square-foot Fort Worth campus, located in the city’s medical district, serves as our organizational headquarters. Our 7,000-square-foot Arlington campus is located in the heart of downtown Arlington. Both locations offer clinical, prevention, and counseling services, along with welcoming community spaces for meetings, educational programs, volunteer activities, and outreach.

Every gift made through North Texas Giving Day helps us break down financial barriers, expand access to care, and ensure that every person who walks through our doors receives the support they need—completely free of charge.

Our Needs

The HELP Center is seeking additional support to expand access to free PrEP services and behavioral healthcare throughout North Texas.

PrEP is one of the most effective tools available for preventing HIV. However, barriers still prevent many people from accessing it—including college students and young adults who remain on a parent’s insurance plan and may not feel safe disclosing their sexual orientation, gender identity, or healthcare needs. Funding helps these individuals receive confidential PrEP care, lab work, and medication at no cost.

Donations also support free counseling services for LGBTQ+ individuals, including youth navigating the coming-out process, transgender and gender-diverse individuals, and parents seeking guidance as they support their children.

Your support allows the HELP Center to remove financial and personal barriers to care, protect confidentiality, and ensure that every client can access compassionate services in a safe and affirming environment.

Equity Statement

The HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health's mission is to enhance health and prevent disease by connecting marginalized populations with innovative, accessible, and comprehensive health care and wellness programming. As health care experts in the LGBTQ+ world, HELP is committed to advancing racial and economic justice locally and globally through our work.

Disparate access to health care is a global issue. Low-income communities, particularly those of color, wherever they are located, are disproportionately impacted by financial, social, and structural barriers.

Through core values of diversity and inclusion, HELP strives to achieve the justice of unhindered, equal access to healthcare for all people, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic stratification, geographical location, or any other ostensibly "defining" characteristic.
