The mission of the Choir is to provide, through a choral venue, an outlet for the musical talents of senior citizens. It is our goal to provide musical performances to under served senior communities, who otherwise would not enjoy performances and fellowship of their peers. We have also expanded our mission to include researching music memory loss among seniors in memory care centers experiencing early stages of dementia. We initiated a wristband campaign this past year with the wording “Music Memory Matters” to arouse awareness and research into the effect of music on senior memory retention and cognitive and physical abilities with aging. The Choir has collaborated with a local dementia support group to share revenue from the sales of wristbands to support the activities of the group.

Funds needed for advertising, services of a videographer, and member transportation costs to practices and gig locations. Also supports promotional campaign of wristbands saying "Music Memory Matters" raising revenue shared with local Dementia Foundation.
