Building Brighter Futures Through STEM and Athletics

Dallas Christian Academy respectfully seeks to raise $50,000 through North Texas Giving Day to strengthen and expand our STEM and athletics programs.

Funds raised through this campaign will help us create engaging STEM experiences, improve instructional resources, purchase athletic equipment and uniforms, and provide safe, inclusive opportunities for students to participate in sports.

Through the generosity of North Texas Giving Day donors, we can equip students with the knowledge, confidence, discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Statement of Need

Technology and physical fitness are essential parts of a well-rounded education. However, maintaining modern STEM resources and a quality athletics program requires funding beyond what tuition alone can provide.

Our students need access to updated technology, science equipment, engineering materials, robotics resources, athletic uniforms, safety equipment, and appropriate training supplies. Without these resources, students may miss important opportunities to explore potential careers, develop technical skills, improve their health, and participate in team-building activities.

The requested funding will help Dallas Christian Academy address two important needs.

STEM Education

Students need hands-on opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. A stronger STEM program will help students develop:

Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

Creativity and innovation

Digital literacy and responsible technology use

Scientific inquiry and research skills

Collaboration and communication

Interest in STEM-related college and career pathways

Athletics

Athletics supports students’ physical health, emotional well-being, discipline, leadership, and sense of belonging. An expanded athletics program will help students develop:

Leadership and communication skills

Healthy habits and physical fitness

Confidence and school pride

Positive relationships with coaches and teammates

Campaign Goal

Dallas Christian Academy’s goal is to raise $50,000 to improve our STEM and athletics programs during the 2026–2027 school year.

The funds will be used to provide resources that directly benefit students and increase participation in hands-on learning and organized sports.

Athletic program development $8,000 Coaching resources, facility use, transportation, league fees, officials, and student participation support

Student competitions and enrichment $3,000 STEM competitions, athletic tournaments, registration fees, and related student activities

Program evaluation and sustainability $2,000 Equipment maintenance, data collection, donor reporting, and program planning

Total Funding Goal $50,000

Final expenditures may be adjusted according to the school’s most urgent program needs while remaining dedicated to STEM and athletics.

Program Objectives

With the support of North Texas Giving Day donors, Dallas Christian Academy will work toward the following objectives:

Increase student access to hands-on STEM instruction and technology.

Provide students with opportunities to participate in robotics, coding, engineering, science experiments, and collaborative projects.

Expand student participation in organized sports and physical-fitness activities.

Replace outdated or insufficient athletic equipment with safe, age-appropriate resources.

Provide uniforms and participation assistance so that financial hardship does not prevent students from joining a team.

Strengthen student achievement, confidence, teamwork, leadership, and school engagement.

Expected Outcomes

By the end of the 2026–2027 school year, Dallas Christian Academy expects to:

Increase student participation in STEM projects and activities

Offer additional hands-on science, technology, coding, robotics, and engineering experiences

Increase participation in school athletics and fitness programs

Provide safer and more reliable athletic equipment

Improve student engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving

Create opportunities for students to participate in STEM showcases and athletic competitions

Reduce financial barriers for students who want to participate in extracurricular programs

Strengthen school spirit and family involvement

Measuring Our Impact

Dallas Christian Academy will measure the impact of this campaign through:

Dallas Christian Academy is committed to sustaining these programs beyond North Texas Giving Day. The school will maintain and reuse purchased equipment, incorporate STEM resources into the regular curriculum, develop community partnerships, and continue seeking support through donations, sponsorships, fundraising activities, and grants.

The North Texas Giving Day campaign will provide an essential foundation for long-term growth by helping the school acquire resources that can benefit students for several years.
