Advancing the Double Bass. Transforming Lives.

For decades, the Bradetich Foundation has played a vital role in shaping the future of the double bass. Founded to advance excellence in performance, education, and professional development, the Foundation carries forward the vision of Jeff Bradetich and more than forty years of dedication to the art of bass playing.

At the heart of this mission are the Bradetich Masterclasses and Summer Camps, which have become a defining milestone in the lives of hundreds of young musicians. These programs are more than summer activities: they are launchpads.

Students from across the United States and around the world come together to study with world-class faculty, refine their technique, deepen their musical understanding, and experience the level of mentorship that can change the trajectory of a career. Many alumni of the Masterclasses have gone on to win All-State and All-Region competitions, gain admission to the most prestigious music institutions in the world, and build successful professional careers.

Former participants have been accepted into institutions such as The Juilliard School, Curtis Institute of Music, Northwestern University, and the University of North Texas, among many others. Today, alumni of the Bradetich Masterclasses serve as college professors, orchestral musicians, and leaders in the field, performing with ensembles including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra - Hamburg, Nova Scotia Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony, Amarillo Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, Vancouver Symphony, and many other orchestras throughout the United States and abroad.

This legacy did not happen by accident. It exists because of sustained commitment, careful mentorship, and community support.

Why We Need Your Help

To continue offering these life-changing summer programs at the level of excellence our students deserve, we must raise at least $15,000. These funds directly support instructional costs, program operations, artist faculty, and student experiences that keep the Bradetich Masterclasses accessible, impactful, and artistically exceptional. 50% of the students that attended the double bass camp requested financial assistance and we would like ensure that every student is able to attend.

Your contribution helps ensure that the next generation of bass players has access to the same opportunities that have shaped decades of successful musicians. It helps us maintain the high standards that have defined the Bradetich Foundation for years. Most importantly, it allows us to keep advancing the double bass as an art form and profession.

Mission

The Bradetich Foundation strives to advance and cultivate a prominent international presence for double bassists, and to command high performance standards and opportunities through solo competitions, educational outreach and cross-cultural connections.

Needs

The Bradetich Foundation's greatest need is scholarship funding for deserving students who would otherwise be unable to attend our educational programs. Many talented young bassists face financial barriers related to tuition, housing, meals, and travel expenses. Scholarship support allows these students to study with world class artists, participate in transformative musical experiences, and pursue their artistic goals regardless of their financial circumstances. Every donation helps make these opportunities accessible to the next generation of musicians.
