Bakke Graduate University (BGU) is a fully US accredited University that serves urban leaders, Christian leaders and entrepreneurs who are building sustainable businesses in North Texas. BGU also connects these Texas leaders to advanced leaders around the world through hybrid online and in-person courses and city immersion events in North Texas and the largest cities in 5 continents. BGU's programs also include non-degree seminars and coaching that empower leaders with the core skills they need to lead their organizations. 

BGU's degree programs include: 1) Masters in Transformational Leadership (MATL); 2) Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA); 3) Doctor of Transformational Leadership (DTL), and 4) PhD in Innovative Urban Leadership. Many North Texas graduates have become faculty and coaches serving BGU's international study body. These leaders serve North Texas as leaders of organizations serving in underserved urban areas; pastors of churches who focus on community empowerment; businesses built to provide marketplace solutions for urban challenges; and government leaders who utilize research to change policy and advocate for the poor. BGU hosts community events often focusing on relief, development, advocacy for underserved populations as well as events introducing North Texas to international leaders who have effective models to learn from in large cities throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

The foundation of BGU's programs are built on Christian biblical truth which permeates each BGU program. Many seminary graduates have used BGU as a finishing school for pastors called lead their churches to serve their community and city in strategic ways. BGU is connected to global sustainable business networks who provide faculty and students who are entrepreneurs seeking to solve social problems with the scale that for-profit businesses can often address. BGU also serves as the primary trainer for a long-standing global Christian network in 161 nations that has permanent representation in the United Nations i New York and Geneva with influence to address issues of religious freedom and persecution. 

Funds from the North Texas Giving Day will be used to support the direct work of BGU in North Texas including its primary office and core staff, as well as community events in North Texas to raise awareness of innovative urban models in North Texas and beyond.

Bakke Graduate University strengthens leaders who steward resources with and for vulnerable people and places, by means of contextual, Christian-based education innovatively delivered throughout the urban world.
