About the Arlington Museum of Art
The Arlington Museum of Art (AMA) is the oldest arts organization in the City of Arlington. Our roots trace back to 1952, when Howard and Arista Joyner founded the Arlington Art Association, planting the seed for what would grow into a museum that has anchored the city's cultural life for more than seven decades. Howard built the Art Department at the University of Texas at Arlington, and Arista was the first art teacher at Arlington High School. Together they set out to prove that a growing Texas city deserved a home for the arts, and Arlington has had one ever since.
That original association grew into a full museum, and today the AMA stands as the center of culture and art in Arlington. We present exhibitions that captivate and inspire, drawing collections and visitors from around the world, while staying rooted in the community that built us. From our earliest juried shows and sidewalk art exhibitions to today's internationally curated exhibits and once-in-a-lifetime experiences like the Arlington 150 Anniversary Exhibition, the throughline has never changed: art belongs in Arlington, and it belongs to everyone who lives here.
As Arlington celebrates its 150th anniversary, the AMA is proud to be part of that story almost from its founding chapter. We've grown alongside this city, and this year we're asking Arlington to grow with us.

This North Texas Giving Day, we're asking Arlingtonians to celebrate that milestone with us: give $150 for Arlington's 150th.
Your gift doesn't go to just one exhibition, it fuels everything the AMA does year-round: our dynamic rotating exhibitions, Summer Art Camps, Youth Art Month, and Arlington Thursdays, our standing commitment to free admission so that every Arlingtonian, regardless of what they can afford, has a place to experience art.

Your support on North Texas Giving Day helps the Arlington Museum of Art continue as the city's cultural anchor for the next 150 years. By giving $150, or any amount, you're funding our full slate of programming, from dynamic exhibitions to Summer Art Camps, Youth Art Month, and free admission to Arlingtonians on Arlington Thursdays, and investing in the institution that has shaped Arlington's creative identity since 1952 and will keep shaping it for generations to come.
Together, we can make sure Arlington's next chapter is just as rich in art and culture as its first.

Our Impact
For Arlington residents, the AMA means free and low-cost access to world-class art, hands-on learning for kids through Summer Art Camps and Youth Art Month, and a gathering place where creativity is part of everyday life. We also impact Arlington's economy: through your generous giving, the museum generates $10.2 million in annual economic impact and supports 109 local jobs, while returning over $557,400 a year in tax receipts to local taxing entities.
With continued community support, we can keep expanding what we offer residents, more free days, more camp scholarships, and more of the exhibitions that make Arlington a destination for the arts.

Needs
Arlington turns 150 this year, and we're asking our community to give in kind. $150 is our founding ask, but every gift, big or small, helps us celebrate Arlington's milestone the right way:
$50: A third of the way to $150, sponsors a child's place in Summer Art Camp
$100: Two-thirds of the way to $150, supports Youth Art Month for Arlington ISD students
$150: Give $150 for Arlington's 150th, our founding ask, funding a mix of camps, exhibitions, and free community admission
$300: Double the 150 challenge, keeps Arlington Thursdays free for the community for a full month
$450: Triple the 150 challenge, funds exhibition installation and educational materials for our rotating exhibitions, including Arlington 150
$1,500: Ten times 150, sustains the AMA's full slate of exhibitions, camps, and free-access programming as Arlington's cultural anchor for the next 150 years
