Anointed Seasoned Citizens Refuge For Women is a compassionate, faith-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring dignity, stability, and hope to vulnerable senior women experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, abandonment, financial hardship, and social isolation. We believe every senior woman deserves to age in a safe, loving, and supportive environment—regardless of her circumstances.
Our organization was established to address a growing but often overlooked crisis: the increasing number of aging women who face homelessness or unstable living conditions later in life. Many senior women encounter life-altering hardships due to fixed incomes, rising housing costs, loss of a spouse or caregiver, medical challenges, elder neglect, domestic violence, family displacement, or unexpected financial setbacks. Far too often, these women are left navigating their most vulnerable years without stable support, safe housing, or access to essential resources.
At the heart of our mission is Marilyn’s Hope House, a residential refuge designed to provide unhoused and vulnerable senior women with more than temporary shelter—it provides a place to heal, rebuild, and regain a sense of belonging. Marilyn’s Hope House is not an assisted living facility. Instead, it is a supportive home environment intentionally created to offer safety, dignity, structure, and compassionate care to senior women who simply need a stable place to call home.
Residents are welcomed into a nurturing, family-style atmosphere where they are treated with compassion, respect, and honor. We strive to create an environment that promotes emotional wellness, independence, social connection, and overall quality of life. By reducing barriers to safe housing and providing consistent support, we help senior women transition from crisis and uncertainty to stability and hope.
Donations made to Anointed Seasoned Citizens Refuge For Women directly support the everyday needs and long-term sustainability of our mission. Financial gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, volunteerism, and in-kind contributions help provide safe housing, nutritious meals, personal care necessities, transportation support, utilities, emergency assistance, household furnishings, wellness programming, and life-enriching experiences for residents.
