As always, we need help with DART bus passes for our clients--it's how they get back and forth to outpatient treatment, jobs, doctor appointments, etc. We need remodeling help for our treatment center, which is located in a building that is more than 100 years old! We also need help with food costs and personal-care items for example: soap, toothpaste, shampoo, towels, bed linens, pillows, etc., as well as with art supplies, spiral notebooks, pens, pencils, etc. The client bedrooms need updating, too--window treatments, furniture, bedding. Turtle Creek Recovery Center's mission is to provide treatment to adults who suffer from both a mental illness and an addiction to drugs or alcohol, making it possible for them to attain emotional stability, sobriety, a job and a place to live.
We are beginning a capital campaign to fund the rehabilitation of a purchased property. This will allow us to expand our services, update our treatment programming, and serve our clients in the best environment possible.
