These are our projects:

Holiday Gifts
Since 2013, every December we give a Build a Bear Reindeer to every family in the CHSU at Medical City Dallas Hospital as well as $10 Starbucks gift cards for the parents and nurses. Last year in 2017 we start helping the heart families with a $40 dollar gas gift card to help with transportation. We also help re-stock the baby closet at the CHSU with important things that the hospital does not provide, like baby and toddler toys, video games, movies, baby socks and mittens, knitted hats, cute cozy blankets, bows for the girls, coloring books, crayons, baby swings and other things the unit needs to pamper these heart kids.

Hotel Accommodations
In the Dallas/Fort Wroth area there are two main children hospitals that treat and specialize in congenital heart defect surgery. There are a lot of families that travel more than 100 miles for their children to be attended in either one of these hospitals.
We try to help as many families in need as possible, giving hotel accommodation near the hospital during their kids appointments or surgeries.

Nurses Day and Holiday Meals
When you have to spend long periods of time at the hospital waiting for your baby or kid to recover from open heart surgery, the nurses become your confidents, friends and supporters. To thank them we bring them a special meal on Nurses' Day and another one in December to appreciate their support and hard work.

Educational Confernces for Nurses
A project we want to introduce next year is to sponsor educational conferences for nurses caring for CHD patients to enhance their nursing skills.

Our Needs

This year we want to introduce a new project dedicated to the research of new procedures to save more kids affected by congenital heart defects.
We would also want to sponsor educational conferences for nurses to enhance their nursing skills specific to critical care and children with CHD.
