HMHI North Texas Giving Day Fundraiser

To Our Generous Donors,

My name is Laura McLaughlin and I am the current President of the 2022-2023 Board of Directors with the HeadFirst Mental Health Initiative (HMHI). We have recently received your generous donation and wanted to personally thank you. You are truly making a difference and the HMHI values your support tremendously.

The HeadFirst Mental Health Initiative has been working hard since July 2022 to get our non-profit off the ground and begin tackling the current mental health crisis in Dallas. We are excited to state that your generous donation helped us begin the recruitment phase to actively enroll children, teens, and families to receive mental health counseling services at no cost to the client/family and begin our community education presentations and seminars. Our goal is that no family seeking counseling services is turned away from receiving treatment due to an inability to pay- your donation helps make this possible.

Your donation will be used to get families connected to the mental health services they are seeking, either through paying therapists a fair and working wage to treat the families through the HMHI, or used to help run our clinical operations and administrative operations to help sustain our organization in the community. As a local Dallas based non-profit, your donation makes a significant difference for a family’s mental health outcomes and mental wellness- right here in our own backyard.

With your contribution, we are one step closer to accomplishing our goal of reducing the mental health crisis in Dallas and removing obstacles to quality, evidenced-based treatments for children and families.
