Georgie's Giving Day Fundraiser for The Net

I have the honor to serve as the Chief of Staff & Operations at The Net, a nonprofit that disrupts sex trafficking and supports survivors through trauma-informed care, jail outreaches, case management, support groups, educational classes and much more! I get to support our team that is boots-on-the-ground in providing outreach, advocacy, and enrichment and helping develop our mission through fundraising and education. 

A soon-to-be graduate of our program recently shared the 10 biggest lessons she has learned throughout her 3 years at The Net. Something she shared about her journey stuck with me: "I am a completely different woman than the one who walked through these doors 3 years ago... it's not about the speed in which you do things, but the direction you are going". These are the kind of redemptive stories Gavin and I moved to Fort Worth for. 

To date we’ve served over 1,600 survivors of trafficking, engaged with more than 15,000 men attempting to purchase sex, and provided dignified employment to 21 survivors through or social enterprise, The Worthy Co.. All of these programs exist because if proximity has taught us anything, it’s that everyone is worthy of the chance to rebuild their lives.

Every day, our team is on the ground, working tirelessly to support women who have faced unimaginable hardships yet have risen above them to create better lives for themselves and their children.
