Hello all!

One of my biggest passions in life is refugee care and assistance, so I am proud to be working at Refugee Services of Texas on the Development Team! Here at RST, we are truly doing life-changing work and with support from the community, we can continue assisting refugees, trafficking survivors, and other displaced populations in securing safety, self-sufficiency, and support in their new home.

Established in 1978, RST has become the state’s largest resettlement agency, serving approximately 40 percent of all refugees entering Texas and three to five percent of those entering the United States. We are privileged to stand in solidarity with our newest neighbors and provide them with comprehensive services to ensure they feel confident beginning a life in their new home. These services include job placement and employment skills training, case management, housing and basic necessities, English classes, cultural orientation, legal services, and so much more. Most importantly, our families are treated with respect and dignity by RST’s dedicated staff members, volunteers, and financial supporters.

Your contribution not only directly aids the families we serve in gaining self-sufficiency, but also represents a vote of confidence that newly arrived Texans will not just survive, but thrive. With your help, RST is able to provide the empowerment tools necessary to ensure their success and independence.

If you have questions or want to learn more about RST, please feel free to contact me at kwesp@rstx.org! I would love for all my friends and family to become more educated in refugee assistance and everything that comes with it!
