I have the privilege to be the Senior Director of Community Partnerships and Collaborations at Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas. Working at Girls Inc. Dallas provides an incredible opportunity to empower and inspire young girls, helping them develop confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of self-worth. We want all girls to know that they can achieve their goals and that nothing should hinder their success especially not their gender!  I hope you watched the video. I had the opportunity to meet Ailyn 5 years ago. Her story is inspiring.

WHY GIRLS INC. DALLAS? At Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas, we believe that every girl, no matter what her circumstances, deserves the opportunity to thrive. In a girls-only, pro-girl environment, our nationally recognized, research-based curricula and outcomes-based programming provide the activities, relationships, and experiences that girls need to succeed in school and careers. Girls Inc. programming develops the whole child - cognitively, socially, physically and emotionally - to help the girls reach their full potential in school, in careers, and in life. Our afterschool, summer, and partner-based programs offer girls college and career readiness, promote STEM, and build 21st-century skills

WHAT WE DO: We serve girls of low-income and under-resourced areas of Dallas, using research-based programming in an all-girl, pro-girl environment. Through our Afterschool, summer camps, and partner-based programs, we provide girls with life-changing experiences and solutions to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers to grow into healthy, educated, and independent women. The Girls Inc. Experience builds the 21st century skills that girls need to thrive!

OUR PROGRAMS: The three core components of our programs are Healthy Living, Academic Enrichment and Support, and Life Skills Instruction.

STRONG/Healthy Living: Girls participate in program activities and experiences that provide them with the knowledge, skills, and encouragement to develop and sustain a healthy lifestyle and increase their understanding about the dangers of making unhealthy choices, including illegal substance use and risky sexual activity.

SMART/Academic Enrichment and Support: Girls engage in activities and experiences that expand upon and support their school-based learning, leading to improved outlook and performance in school and educational aspirations beyond high school.

BOLD/Life Skills Instruction: Girls learn skills and strategies to lead safer and more independent lives at home, in relationships, within their communities, and online. Girls' participation leads to increased persistence and resilience and improved self and emotional control.

WHO WE SERVE: Over 55% of the 3,000 girls we serve live in households with annual family incomes less than $30,000. The girls diversity is reflective of the community: 51% Hispanic/Latino, 34% African American/Black, 4% White, 2% Asian, 8% multiracial, and 1% other.
