Friends of Willis Winters Park

Willis Winters Park is a historic community park established in 1922 and is the heart of our community. Friends of Willis Winters Park was formed in 2020 and has been working to improve our beloved park in ways that are beneficial to all while bringing the surrounding communities together.  We have made positive strides in three years on improvements: adding first pollinator garden in District 14, pickle ball courts, safety lighting on walkways, BBQ grill, ADA compliant picnic tables and benches. We also generated funds from city and community to renovate our soccer field which will be completed in October. Our upcoming projects include adding ADA compliant multi-generational fitness facilities and distance markers throughout the park and updating our children’s playground. We believe stronger parks build stronger communities.  Friends of Willis Winters Park would appreciate your help with our efforts to make this wonderful park even better.
