Welcome to our fundraising page for the Mentoring brother to brother program. Our testimony & program needs are shared below. 🙏🏾

Ayden’s (mentee) testimony:

My name is Ayden & currently I’m a senior at Allen High school. I have been a mentee since 2018 in the mentoring brother to brother greater outreach program. My mother decided to enroll me in a mentorship program MB2B (Mentoring Brother 2 Brother) 6 years ago and it’s been an amazing experience for me. Initially I did not understand the necessity and thought I was doing something wrong however this program has empowered me, built my confidence, strengthened my character, exposed me to various career options, and enriched me with knowledge to help me become the young man I am today. Most importantly, this program has connected me with positive African American men to look up to who offer so much guidance to me and my mom. I am so thankful to have this program everyday and the lifelong friendships I have attained over the years. This year will be my last year as a mentee & I can’t wait for the opportunity to begin the journey as a mentor in my future. This year they are asking each of us mentees to raise money to help support our activities during the rest of the year. I would greatly appreciate it if you would support us by sending back a donation of any amount. This is a really great program and please know what your gift will offer to us “at risk” African American youth boys' opportunities that otherwise would not be afforded to us!

Jamie’s (mom) testimony:

I am a strong advocate in the necessity of mentorship for all especially our youth. The struggles of being a single mother raising a young black man in todays society is very challenging at times. I wanted to provide my son with support and guidance from his fellow peers & adults that have been in his shoes. MB2B has provided us both support, enrichment and confidence to raise my son in a well rounded environment. We all know that our peers and those we most relate to including social media provide the most influence in kids lives. My goal was to provide additional positive African american male influences from all types of backgrounds to connect with him in ways that I as a mother can’t. I am so thankful and blessed to have this program available. The mentors of this program dedicate their free time to provided him with enrichment in financial, spiritual, and physical wellness as well as character development, relationship building, career opportunities, and leadership skills. I love hearing about their discussions and how he interprets the information received to apply to his daily activities. Additionally, to see the friendships he has gained and the amount of growth over the years is beyond amazing. I am so proud of him and blessed to have these mentors in our lives everyday. Thank you for allowing us to share our story with you🥰

We need your help to raise funds for mentoring brother to brother to continue its empowerment of our “at risk” youth today. All donations are impactful and 100% is spent directly on the mentees.
