I have the honor of leading Readers 2 Leaders as CEO and serving this amazing organization for 12 (!) years. Please help me reach my personal goal of $5000 for R2L. And - this year I've added a fun twist! If I reach my goal, I will spend a FULL work day dressed up as one of my favorite book characters: Viola Swamp!
You may be familiar with the ever-popular "Miss Nelson is Missing" series of children's books. I LOVE these books and (given my name of course), they are top of my list for a GREAT read aloud. And, I promise if you donate to my campaign, not only will I dress up like the "dreaded Miss Swamp," - I'll also be sure to take plenty of pictures and share my "Viola Swamp" adventures via social media on the chosen day.
Where will you see Miss Swamp, you ask??? Who knows! It could be a Board meeting, visiting our programs, or even attending a meeting with a generous R2L donor. We will see where the day takes us!
It will be a lot of fun but let's not forget our mission: at Readers 2 Leaders we equip students for success through the power of reading - and to do this: we need YOU! Join me as R2L works to bring literacy to ALL children in Dallas. Though our research-based programs and commitment to youth in our community, we can change lives together.
