Help Elizabeth Clear the Path for Girls this NTGD!

Hi! Thanks for visiting my fundraiser page for Girls Inc. Dallas. I have the honor of working at Girls Inc. as their Marketing & Events Coordinator, alongside a showstopping and powerful group of women who are actively promoting gender equality, challenging stereotypes, and contributing to breaking down barriers that hold girls back.

Working at Girls Inc. Dallas has provided me with an incredible opportunity to empower and inspire young girls, helping them develop confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of self-worth! 

This North Texas Giving Day, we're on a mission to create a brighter and more equitable future for the young girls of Dallas. Our programs work! We strive to make sure the programming we provide to girls are designed to inspire, educate, and uplift, giving girls the tools they need to overcome challenges and thrive in a rapidly evolving world. But there are still so many girls across Dallas we are not able to reach and/or serve! 

WE NEED YOUR HELP! 

Recently, the CDC reported that girls are 57% more likely to become depressed. That is double the amount that boys are! 3 of 5 girls in the United States are feeling hopeless, sadness and anger, without a supportive environment to navigate these challenges. 

At Girls Inc., we strive to create a safe and inclusive space where girls can openly express their feelings and concerns without fear of judgment. This supportive atmosphere encourages girls to share their experiences and seek help when needed. Our girl-centric mentorship allows girls to find a safe space within our walls and our staff focuses on building emotional resilience, self-esteem, and coping skills. These resources provide girls with practical tools to navigate stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues.

"Although I surprised myself and earned all As and Bs this past year, it wasn’t easy for me.  I went through a dark period.  I wasn’t focused.  I didn’t feel like myself.  I didn’t want to see my friends and I stayed in my room all day.  I am glad that I had friends, family, and Girls Inc. that helped me through this time.  I learned to do positive affirmations every day, reminding myself that I am intelligent, beautiful, and can do whatever I want.  I am so glad that I had the support I needed to get through the toughest time and realize it was also a very exciting time in my life.
