Educational First Steps

I want you to know why I am a long time supporter of the work done by Educational First Steps, and why I'm inviting you to join me! 

Every day, EFS influences the lives of thousands of DFW area children, their teachers and the owners of EFS partner childcare learning centers. Their mission is clear: to ensure that every child, newborn to pre-k receives the highest quality education in safe, stimulating learning environments from loving, & committed educators.  When these kiddos reach kindergarten, their knowledge, life skills, and social/emotional confidence is exactly the foundation they need to jump in to LEARN, THRIVE, & GROW.

You may wonder, why is it so important for quality learning to happen before age 5? Because, my friend, 90% of your brain develops by your 5th birthday!!  So, that is how you start young life....and for the rest of your life!

You may also wonder, why certain centers need help to reach Texas Rising Star quality levels (required by the state of Texas)?  Simple: some zip codes in the DFW area are in 'childcare deserts' and don't have the same offerings of quality child care as other zip codes have access to. 

When young children have access to a HIGH quality early childhood education they have access to a brighter, more equitable future.  

This just makes sense. 

For the child. For their future. For the future of the 

DFW area talent pool.

I am asking for your help for Educational First Steps to continue their mission to partner with more children and early childcare centers in the DFW area.  

The financial need is critical in order to 

expand to more centers; 

to train teachers and center owners to quality;

to upgrade learning environments;

to IGNITE the minds of more children from birth to age 5. 

All kiddos need the advantages and opportunities for success in life.  And EFS will work towards achieving that.
