This is not just for our Vietnam and Korean War veterans though they will get the most use here.
We want to facilitate the feeling you have in your own backyard, a feeling that homeless never have.
The feeling of Serenity, safety comfort do matter in helping to heal the psychological wounds our veterans suffer from. Fresh air and companionship during our BBQs which we have 5+ times each year.
To relax, many people would shrug this part off, relax why they have no bills, no work no "stress" like most do, but that is very wrong. Most have lost all their family and friends some to old age and natural causes, others to PTSD and often the self medication of it. When they join us they agree to stop self medicating, that can be a tough thing to commit to. It's very stressful, add to that constantly worried they will be on the street again.
We aim to help heal all wounds inside and out.
