Once upon a time — right here in Fort Worth — a group of passionate preservationists came together with a bold mission: to protect the stories, spirit, and soul of this city. That group became Historic Fort Worth, Inc., and since 1969, they’ve been the guardians of our city’s heritage.

For more than 50 years, Historic Fort Worth has worked to preserve what makes Fort Worth truly unique — from iconic landmarks like the 1899 Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House to long-forgotten architectural treasures at risk of vanishing forever.

But preservation isn’t just about saving buildings — but rather, we are about the impact old buildings make on the lives of people. 

It’s about teaching future generations where we came from.

It’s about fighting to keep our city’s identity intact.

It’s about making sure Fort Worth’s character doesn’t disappear under dust or demolition.
