Once upon a time, in the heart of Fort Worth, there was a special group called Historic Fort Worth, Inc. This group was like a guardian of old stories and beautiful old buildings. Their mission? To make sure the history of Fort Worth stays alive — not just today, but for generations to come.

Founded in 1969, Historic Fort Worth, Inc. has spent over 50 years protecting what makes Fort Worth unique. Long before many of us were born, this group started preserving our city’s most treasured landmarks, like the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House, built in 1899. This magnificent home is like a time machine — full of stories from a world before cars, smartphones, or even electricity in every home.

But Historic Fort Worth doesn’t just take care of buildings — they also teach, advocate, and inspire.

Through stewardship, they care for and maintain historic properties so they stay strong, safe, and beautiful.

Through advocacy, they fight to protect threatened landmarks — like the Fort Worth Public Market — ensuring these architectural gems aren’t lost to time or bulldozers.

Through education, they share Fort Worth’s rich history with kids, families, and future preservationists — through tours, events, exhibits, and more.

On North Texas Giving Day, they’re asking for your help. Historic Fort Worth doesn’t need gold or treasure — just a little bit of your treasure. Every donation supports their mission to preserve, protect, and promote Fort Worth’s past.

You can be a hero for history.Your gift helps keep the past alive, so future generations can walk through historic homes, hear incredible stories, and understand the roots of the city they call home.

Donate today to Historic Fort Worth, Inc. — and help us keep telling Fort Worth’s story. Thank you for being a history hero!
