CECPTA: World of Food - Cat & Leo

It’s our 3rd year participating Kidsgiving Day where our kids (Ngos, Shahs, Lahouds and Trans) put our entrepreneur skills to give back to their community by selling more than just a lemonade stand. We went BIG this year with "World of Foods." Discover a world of flavors with us, grab and go food, fresh flowers and produce all-in-one booth. All proceeds will benefit Carrollton Early Child PTA, Metrocrest Services & CFBISD Educational Foundation.

What did we sell?

• Mexican Fruit Cup with Tajin seasoning (Lahoud Family)
• Indian Curry Masala (Shah Family)
• Vietnamese Fruit Tea (Tran Family)
• Japanese Onigiri (rice balls) from Okaeri Café (Ngo Family)
• + Fresh Farm Flower arrangements, eggs and produce!
   

Last year, Cat and Leo sold sprinkled nachos and raised over $400 for North Texas Giving Day. This year, we had a booth at the Petite Farmers Market and we sold $294 from our Mexican Fruit Cups that was filled with mango, watermelon, jicama, cucumber and squeeze of lime with Tajin seasoning and chamoy! This tart and tangy Mexican Fruit Cup was such a hit and we sold out! Our family and friends showed up in crowds. We were overwhelmed by the love and support. We still need your help to reach our fundraising goal of $500. CECPTA is a huge part of our parenting life and we are passionate about giving back to this organization and community. The Carrollton Early Childhood PTA (CECPTA) is a nonprofit organization that provides activities, support, friendships, education for parents of children age newborn through preschool. www.cecpta.org 

Metrocrest Services assists local individuals, families and seniors by providing programs that lead to self-sufficiency and foster independence. Metrocrest offers a comprehensive bundle of services to address gaps in finances, employment, and nutrition to holistically help end poverty. CFBISD Education Foundation supports school-aged campuses, teachers and students with dollars not otherwise available through state and federal funding.
