Delighted to Doula has been in homes since 2019, providing postpartum doula care. In 2023, we opened our Postpartum Wellness Center, the Vineyard - a home for us and a home away from home for the women we serve!

Delighted to Doula's Postpartum Wellness Center is the ONLY postpartum center that focuses specifically on the postpartum care for the historically underserved mothers of color in South Dallas. Our mission is to eliminate maternal mortality in this area, and you can help!

Once onboarded, our moms have access to in-home services and ALL services provided by our Postpartum Wellness Center.

Our Postpartum Wellness Center provides:

  • Repose Room: A clean, safe, private bedroom for moms who need to rest and recover. While they rest, their little one(s) are cared for by our in-house postpartum doulas
  • Heart Health Checkups and Education
  • Access to Mental Health Professionals
  • Educational Classes such as Lactation, Early Childcare & Development, and Nutrition
  • Unbiased Active Listening Sessions with doulas
  • Consultation Room: A space furnished with comfortable couches and a play area for little ones while moms consult with postpartum doulas on their current needs, concerns, and for educational conversations
  • Resource Hub, ensuring that our moms have access to programs that will increase their quality of life and meet their needs
  • Business & Technology Center: For moms who want to take online skills training or educational classes, or who need access to internet
  • Motherhood Huddle Club: A community of postpartum women of color to share their motherhood journeys, gather for educational classes, and engage in social activities

Your donation matters.

For $50, we can provide a mother with her own blood pressure cuff so that she can monitor for hypertension, one of the leading causes of maternal mortality.

For $100, we can provide a mother with a lactation kit; black mothers are the least likely to breastfeed due to lack of access to nutrition, equipment, and education

For $540, we can provide 27 hours of postpartum care at our Wellness Center

For $1080, we can provide 54 hours of postpartum care at our Wellness Center

Help us in our mission to eliminate maternal mortality for women of color by supporting our Postpartum Wellness Center today!

Hi! I just wanted to take the time out to express my appreciation for today at Delighted to Doula! Everyone has been so pleasant! Before I arrived at the facility, I was almost like a volcano on the verge of erupting. I was so very stressed and mentally exhausted. I never mentioned to these beautiful ladies that I was having serious suicidal thoughts not long before arriving. Delighted to Doula LITERALLY saved my life! As soon as I arrived I was greeted with love, and they took really good care of my five month old while I was able to get the proper care. I was HEARD today!!! What I mean by that is I had so much bottled up inside(years worth of trauma and stress), and I was able to be, not only heard, but UNDERSTOOD!!! Mrs.Sabra constantly reminded me that my thoughts and feelings are valid and that I am human. I am always something to someone, but end up being nothing to myself. I was told that I am in control! When I was told that I was actually afraid because I felt as though maybe that was something bad, however, it isn't bad! I am in control of my life, and I will teach others how to treat me(starting with myself). The facility itself is also very homey! I was able to kick my feet up and relax! I actually feel as though I can breathe because before arriving I felt claustrophobic. Leaving the facility my stress levels are literally at a "1" where when I arrived it was at a "25" on a scale from 1-10. I promise when I say that I am NOT exaggerating! I have finally found my home away from home! Those ladies are officially stuck with me! 😊  Thank you all again so much!!! I am ready to conquer the world... starting at home!
