The RYLA 5810 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation founded in 2013 to provide support to all RYLA programs of Rotary International District 5810.  Camp RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) is a week-long leadership program for high school juniors from the eight North Texas counties included in District 5810.

The mission of RYLA Rotary District 5810 seeks to develop a diverse group of servant leaders by instilling life-long leadership skills and a commitment to service above self.  RYLA cultivates an environment for learning and personal growth driven by intentional programming with an emphasis on teamwork and communication.  With core themes of authenticity, inclusivity, and belonging, RYLA strives to empower leaders to make a positive impact in their communities.

The Alumni Association awards scholarships annually to alumni.  Scholarship recipients have demonstrated their ability to put campers first in all of their actions surrounding camp, shown continued dedication to the program over the years, as well as embody the spirit of RYLA.

The process for selecting the scholarship winners has traditionally been an open nomination period throughout the first several days of camp, with all alumni eligible to nominate a fellow alumnus.  A selection committee of past scholarship winners go through the nominations and make their selections on the last night of camp, based on nominations received throughout the week. The awards are given during Wrap Up on the final morning of camp.
