Against All Odds - Mabel's Fight for Life!

Mabel came to us in early 2021.  The shelter believed her to be a hospice case.  She was so frail and had significant hair loss over most of her body.  She was literally skin and bones. We sought treatment right away, but despite trying several medications and different foods, her condition continued to deteriorate.  Her weight dwindled even further and her strength waned more as time passed. We were trying not to lose faith, but things were looking quite dire and we thought the end was near.  Then our veterinarian had an idea that Mabel might be dealing with a rare intestinal disorder.  Although the testing was expensive, we knew Mabel was worth the costs and proceeded.  Results did show the doctor's suspicion was right and we immediately got her started on a special supplement and diet.  To our amazement and excitement, she began to improve and is thriving now!
