At Readers 2 Leaders, we’re transforming how children, families, and educators experience literacy across North Texas. This year, thanks to friends like you, we served 2,000 students in our tutoring and coaching programs, and reached an additional 6,000 through literacy trainings for educators and caregivers.
One of our dedicated instructors has seen this magic firsthand at the Eladio R. Martinez Learning Center:
“Many of my students are Spanish speakers, and that brings unique challenges, especially in developing English reading skills. A few weeks into our reading intervention program, I began to see small yet powerful changes. The day one of my students said, ‘I’m understanding what you’re saying!’ was pure joy. It was proof of how far we’d come together.”

Last year, 94% of students in our tutoring and coaching programs showed measurable growth in foundational literacy skills. For board member and parent Leigh Ann Ripka, whose son once struggled to read, the impact is personal: “Learning to read is a science, but the magic is in knowing where reading can take you - in life and in your imagination.”
