Women With Promise was formed in 2013 by a diverse group of talented and successful businesswomen who wanted to make a difference in their north Texas neighborhoods. These professional women made a promise to help women emerging from crisis by empowering them to make their lives better.
After countless volunteer hours, research and working with local nonprofits and agencies, we learned that education is critical to long term success and a self-sustaining livelihood. We knew that by focusing on education there would be a lasting and cascading impact on scholarship recipients and their families for generations to come and so the Women With Promise Scholarship Fund was created in 2018. Four women received scholarships in its inaugural year.
One of the things that makes our organization different is that we provide mentorship from our vast professional network along with the scholarships. This connection gives us the opportunity to meet, mentor and celebrate the strength and character of our scholarship recipients.
Since 2013, Women With Promise has also
• Established an annual gala and signature "Happiness Hour" events for fundraising
• Invested more than 600 volunteer hours into helping Dallas and Collin County women and children
• Built and executed programs to educate women on life skills, including education, career support, finance management, confidence-building activities, and interview and networking skills
• Hosted positive memory events for women in shelters including Baby Showers for homeless teenagers, Mother's Day family events, provided meals, solicited gift cards to meet immediate physical needs and delivered Christmas Gifts at the holidays.
• Raised more than $250,000 in donations in cash and assets to provide/support:
o 7 scholarship recipients to four-year colleges, universities and trade schools
o Provided professional mentors to the scholarship recipients
o The Buy a Brick, Build a Future fundraising campaign completed a home for 6 families
o Security system installation for 12 Agape Residences with lifetime monitoring
o Agape Kids Summer Camp for 2 years providing supplies and volunteer support
o +400 books for a new library at The Wesley Inn
o Agape house needs including appliances, automobiles, home necessities, and family activities

We are professional women who network with purpose and want to make a difference. United in our belief that all women hold the promise within to build successful, self-sustaining lives, together we are helping others.
We give our talent and time to raise funds to provide support, college scholarships and professional mentorship that help women in our Dallas and Collin county neighborhoods who are emerging from challenging circumstances to improve their lives. Studies have repeatedly shown the importance of education on health, earning potential and overall success, and we recognize when a woman is empowered by support and education, the impact is felt for generations.
Famous for our signature Happiness Hours, inspirational luncheons, and spectacular galas, we are women helping women right here in our own neighborhoods. Our reward is seeing the success of our nonprofit partners and the transformation of Women With Promise scholars.
