We Are Urban Dreams, Inc.

We Are Urban Dreams Inc. is a 501.c.3 nonprofit organization created to provide care to non-stable inner city elementary, middle and high school youth through education, mentoring, life skills, recreational/vocational training, drug treatment, and transitional housing. We form partnerships with local school districts, churches, counseling services and the juvenile court system to foster a commitment to young people that will empower youth from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

Our Needs

We are expanding our successful My Brother's Keeper (MBK) initiative founded by former President Barack Obama, that impacts the lives of boys and young men of color in the DFW area. We need resources to extend our current services in three specific areas:

1) Individual case management for students who are facing crisis situations and need intervention to stay in school and commit to an individual plan of action (IPA);

2) Health and wellness assessments and intervention for youth and caregivers through WIFI (Wellness Information For Inspiration) to address the systemic health crisis that keeps youth from preforming at their highest levels;

3) Social intervention and life skills training utilizing cultural arts and digital media technology to improve the lives of youth and their families and expose school-age participants to a myriad of careers in the STEAM fields.
