First Tee – Greater Dallas is a youth development organization empowering young people to build the strength of character that will guide them for a lifetime. By integrating the game of golf with a proven life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that help kids develop resilience, self-confidence, and inner strength that extends far beyond the golf course. We are proud to say, We’re Building Game Changers.

Our impact is clear. In 2024 alone, we awarded $175,000 in college scholarships to 32 participants, contributing to a program that has provided over $1.1 million in scholarships since 2011. More than 90% of our scholarship recipients graduate or remain enrolled in college, preparing them for meaningful careers and leadership in their communities.

The success of our participants also shines through national competition. One of our own, Jacob Lewallen-Le, captured the title at the First Tee National Championship, a prestigious event hosted at Duke University that brought together the best participants from across the country. His achievement reflects the excellence and character our chapter works to instill in every young person.

This year, your support goes even further. Thanks to a generous private donor, every gift to First Tee Greater Dallas will be matched dollar for dollar through our Matching Grant Challenge, doubling your impact on the lives of kids and teens across North Texas. This donor has been a cornerstone in building our RCV Leadership & Learning Center, and their continued generosity ensures we can expand programming, train and retain outstanding coaches, and provide more scholarships to deserving students.

When you give, you are not just funding a program. You are investing in the future of young people who are learning integrity, perseverance, and confidence through golf. Together, we can continue “Building Game Changers” who will shape their communities and beyond.

At First Tee – Greater Dallas, we provide the opportunity for our participants to experience success. We’re “Building Game Changers” by empowering kids and teens through the game of golf. Through our programs and mentoring we enable kids to build the strength of character that will empower them through a lifetime of new challenges. Needs

At First Tee – Greater Dallas, our biggest needs are to maintain our coaches and to ensure that we can give them all the necessary ongoing training needed to provide children and teens with the very best coaching and resources. This also includes transportation, equipment and to support our RCV Learning Center.

This year, we had over 1,000 children and teens participate in our summer programs. Since we didn’t have the full-time staff to handle this volume, we had to hire additional resources to handle this growth, so that we don't have to turn children away.

In order to meet our objectives, we need to :

• Hire additional coaches to expand the number of participants served and classes offered

• Invest in transportation (buses and drivers) between schools and our program locations

• Increase educational programming, including female and teen specific options

• Increase program scholarship funding, allowing for more at-risk youth to attend college

• Provide supplemental resources for families and participants, including financial literacy program, health and wellness programs, etc.
