$4,000 Goal

TYB is dedicated to serving the community through outreach to children who wouldn't normally be able to afford to pursue a dream of being a ballet dancer. Our Ballet Stars* of Tomorrow scholarship follows the federal school lunch subsidy guidelines for free tuition. We cover performance fees and uniform expenses, so the students get the full experience of the art of ballet through fully-produced ballet performances. Our dedication to the education of our dancers is also evident in our use of professionals only in roles of choreographers or in roles that we have no dancerss at the skill level to fill. Our performances are built around our dancers, so that they obtain early experience in soloist and principal roles. They have the opportunity to become aware of the responsibilitiy that goes along with the privilege of a principal role. Our costume inventory expands a little every year, and is cared for, cleaned, and re-used, with the help of dedicated volunteer costume coordinators. We fund the bringing in of professional dancers for Master Classes and workshops in all areas of dance, and provide need-based scholarships for these as well.
