As an organization, Suits For Judah, provides Mentorship, Exposure, Entrepreneurship, and Empowerment, as well as, teach yoga in our communities. We work alongside other community organizations to create networking opportunities and provide Community exposure through our media platform, 'Word On Da Street W/Judah.' We are also working with other entities and individuals to help create an entrepreneurship program that we believe, with the community's help, can be a catalyst for economic growth and development in the neighborhoods the City has ignored and left behind. Our Board is made up of people from the Community and our mentors are as well. Suits For Judah has been engaging the Dallas Communities and youth since 2018; we have the community behind our vision, and they are ready to volunteer with us when we call upon them.
Suits for Judah's top financial priorities revolve around funding for operating expenses which include: administrative support, office space, and the ability to compensate, to some degree, our working volunteers for their amazing support!! The office space we are commissioning will be set with an eye for versatility. The office will be used to conduct day to day organizational operations and will serve as a venue facility with multi-uses, including a place to conduct fundraising, training, audio/visual production and other. With a core base set, Suits for Judah will have the mobility and flexibility to serve our community, and to reach our bookings and fundraising events. Our bookings relate to our communications work through our main program: "Word on da Street W/Judah." We have the community behind our vision and are ready to volunteer with us during the fund raising campaign process. Only the funding remains our challenge, and we have a goal of between $5000-$10,000, and anything more is absolutely welcome.
Word on da Street W/Judah, is one of our community outreach programs that we created through Suits For Judah, that is impacting many communities by using honest, journalistic information. We continually build relationships with the with our people, and we provide them the opportunity to have a voice and be heard as well. This program has allowed people in our area to stay connected, especially through the social isolation period where people were feeling depressed, insecure, and feeling fearful as a direct result of COVID-19 Outbreak, and its negative impact on our neighborhoods. Through this venue, we were able to assist another community organization with 600 families find refuge during the 2021 Texas winter storm. We prioritize our programs as follows: First, "Word on da Street w/ Judah", because it produces a call to action and helps nurture our relationship with members in our communities, secondly, our entrepreneurship program which will help our youth to enter into a variety of different business endeavors, which we advertise through Word on da Street, and lastly, is our ability to house administrative offices as well as community spaces.
Suits For Judah, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charity organization, is dedicated to changing the mindsets and lives of Young, Urban Americans in underserved communities through Mentorship, Exposure, Entrepreneurship, and Empowerment.
