St. Francis of Assisi is a vibrant, diverse, and colossal Catholic Church founded originally as a missionary parish by approximately 12 Spanish speaking families seeking to live their faith and to serve the local community. Since its founding, St. Francis has grown to an estimated 14,000 families, which equates to approximately 47,000 parishioners representing multiple cultures. St. Francis supports the Frisco, Prosper, Celina, Little Elm, Princeton, and surrounding Collin County areas. St. Francis is a dynamic parish with many passionate families and parishioners willing to serve and seeking to grow in their faith. It is also a diverse community representing a vast number of different cultures and nationalities. This melting pot of a faith community is comprised of individuals with contrasting schools of thought, interests, and preferences of expressing their faith and worshipping.

The Mission Statement of St. Francis of Assisi is the same Mission Statement that Jesus gave his eleven disciples (the Great Commissioning) found in the last chapter of Matthew.
The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."

Our Mission Statement of Matthew 28 highlights the importance of building community and forming disciples. The funds we raise during North Texas Giving Day will help us do exactly that! We are in desperate need of a space for our growing, vibrant community to gather. The funds will contribute to renovating the Great Hall Foyer into a community and discipleship space complete with a coffee shop. The funds will also benefit our youth program. We want to use NTX Giving Day to invest in our community!
