Rainbow Days’ mission is to help children and youth facing adversity build coping skills and resilience for a brighter future. Through caring mentors and research-based programs, we equip kids with the tools to break negative cycles, make healthy choices, and create lasting change.
Since 1982, Rainbow Days has served 277,000 children and youth in Dallas—and reached communities across Texas, multiple states, and three countries.
In 2026, we’re expanding our reach even further by partnering with 65+ local schools, districts, shelters, community centers, domestic violence shelters, and juvenile detention centers—meeting kids where they are and helping them thrive.

Rainbow Days strives to help children and youth facing adversity to create positive futures by teaching them coping skills and building resilience. Through research-based programs, including support groups, behavioral health presentations, camps, mentored events and tangible items, Rainbow Days has made a positive impact in the lives of over 20,000 at-risk and homeless children and youth in the Dallas area each year and thousands more nationally through our training programs.
