The future Senior Life Center at Meals on Wheels Senior Services will be far more than a building. It will be a welcoming hub where older adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities can gather in community, access essential services, enjoy nutritious meals, build meaningful relationships, and thrive with dignity, purpose, and independence.
Like many nonprofit organizations, we have faced significant challenges along the way. Rising inflation, increased food and construction costs, unforeseen project delays, and a substantial decline in available grant funding have all impacted our ability to complete this important project.
Yet every gift moves us closer to opening the doors of a center that will enrich lives and strengthen our community for generations to come.

We also serve over 95,000 meals to homebound seniors and people with disabilities in Rockwall County, with rising food costs we struggle to keep seniors needing meals off waiting lists.
Giving Activity
Mission
The mission of Meals on Wheels Senior Services is to keep the elderly and disabled living in their homes as long as safely possible through nutritious meals and daily human contact, and to promote wellness for all seniors through education and by providing access to supportive services.
Needs
With the rapid growth in the elderly population of Rockwall County, the current need is continued funding for the Meal Program. Rockwall County has more than 26,000 residents that are eligible for our services. In order to continue to serve our clients, community support is vital.
