Needs
The Need Is Growing. So Is Our Impact.
The need for CASA advocacy in our community continues to grow and Lone Star CASA is growing to meet it.
So far this year, we have served 256 children and youth, more than 40 additional children compared to last year. As more children enter the child welfare system, we are expanding our staff and preparing to recruit and train more CASA Volunteer Advocates to ensure every child has someone standing in their corner.
This year, we are also celebrating the one-year anniversary of our Justice-Involved Youth (JIY) program. This innovative program serves youth on formal probation in Kaufman County.
Through JIY, trained CASA Volunteer Advocates stand alongside young people, serving as their guardian ad litem and providing consistent support, encouragement, and advocacy as they work toward positive choices and a brighter future.
But growth brings new needs. With more children, families, and youth relying on our programs, we are looking for a dedicated office space for our Kaufman County team. A permanent home for our growing team will give us the space we need to expand our services, support our volunteers, and be even more accessible to the communities we serve.
Your North Texas Giving Day gift can help us keep pace with this growing need.
